The VVT (register of processing activities) forms the basis of all data protection processes for every company.<\/strong><\/p>

It shows the list of company processes that must be documented in accordance with Art. 30 GDPR and serves as a central documentation tool to fulfil the data protection requirements in a company or organisation as well as the obligation to provide evidence and accountability to the data protection authorities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The VVT is deliberately provided on a non-mandatory basis (i.e. beyond the requirements of Art. 30 of the GDPR). This results in the following advantages:<\/strong><\/p>

  • The more detailed documentation protects against fines and liability claims by proving that data protection measures are actively implemented.<\/li>
  • In the event of an audit by the supervisory authority, comprehensive documentation can be submitted and possible sanctions can be better avoided.<\/li>
  • Better detection and monitoring of all processing activities<\/li>
  • Identification and optimisation of inefficient processes or unnecessary data processing.<\/li>
  • Simple DSFA threshold value analysis<\/li>
  • Risk assessment and monitoring<\/li>
  • Easier management of requests from affected parties<\/li>
  • Better overview of what data is processed, by whom and when<\/li>
  • Better overview of the technical systems and services involved<\/li>
  • More targeted use of TOM<\/li>
  • Better support of requirements from other laws (e.g. KRITIS Regulation, ISO 27001, NIS2, BDSG).<\/li>
  • Simultaneous fulfilment of compliance requirements<\/li>
  • Better response to legislative changes and new requirements<\/li>
  • Integration with ISMS processes and support for certifications (ISO 27001 certification, TISAX certification, BSI basic protection)<\/li>
  • Better support for internal and external audits, as all relevant data processing procedures are already documented.<\/li>
